About

Unstable Universe, often referred to as Unstable SMP, is a scripted Minecraft series set in one of the biggest public hardcore anarchy servers in the game. The story of the server is currently told through four perspectives, those being of ParrotX2, Wemmbu, Spokeishere, and Flamefrags. Each player’s perspective covers different aspects of the server, such as Parrot’s focus on government and interpersonal conflicts or Wemmbu and Flame’s PvP-heavy episodes. Spoke’s episodes tend to be the most disconnected from the others, often only intersecting near the end of arcs shared between the rest of the protagonists.

This website was created to serve as an archive for all of my Unstable Universe work, as well as a way for me to share and highlight some of my favorite fanworks with others. That being said, while I could try to be objective, I will certainly show bias toward my favorite members and plot points. I’ve been watching Unstable Universe since it began, and it served as a subject for many of my papers and projects throughout college. Now that I’ve graduated and have more free time on my hands, I’ve decided to clean up and upgrade this website once again. Hopefully, this time it will get more use from me. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy it!

The Cast

The Exploiter and His Companions

After experimenting with exploits, trying and failing to cover up such research, having those exploited items fall into the wrong hands, and being abandoned by his closest friend, JamatoP, Spokeishere has lost almost everything. Desperate to right his past wrongs in upsetting the balance of the server, he naively follows any faction that promises both security and redemption to him. At his core, Spoke is a manipulative and egotistical character with strong social skills. His cast of deuteragonists is constantly changing. After reuniting with and defeating JamatoP, the previous leader of the NULL faction, Spoke has risen to power, beginning his own conquest of the Unstable SMP.

The Hero of the Server and His Knight

Losses are a constant in ParrotX2’s journey across the Unstable SMP. After the death of his closest ally, Wifies, Parrot returns to spawn and meets Theobaldthebird for the first time since the era of the Invisible Mafia. Theo is quick to take the role of Parrot’s guard, welcoming him into his home and stepping in to defend him at any sign of danger. Together, they work to free the residents of Capital City from debt, hunt for treasure, and overthrow the rule of the Law before securing the title of king. However, this monarchy is extremely short-lived, as the server’s unrest continues to grow under food-shortages and power struggles between factions. Now as an exiled king, Parrot must search for his missing allies and rally desperate players to his side.

The Mercenary and the Scholar

Wemmbu and Eggchan have seen both the highs and lows the players of the Unstable SMP are capable of. Through his past experiences in civilizations across the server, Wemmbu has developed the need to be one of the most powerful PvPers around, as to never get taken advantage of again. However, as Wemmbu grows stronger, he inevitably makes more enemies, and those enemies turn their attention to Eggchan, Wemmbu’s closest friend. Over and over again, Wemmbu has proven that he will do anything to keep his best friend safe, even if it is at the cost of leveling a whole civilization or temporarily losing his own autonomy.

The Wandering Swordsman and the Farmer

Ever since Flamefrags joined the Unstable SMP, he’s been fighting. His presence within the ranks of the server’s civilizations determines whether one rises to power or falls to ruin. Despite always being spotted in the highest ranks of the civilizations he joins, the life of one of Unstable SMP’s greatest PvPers proves to be lonely, and Flame struggles to balance his focus on combat and personal relationships. Lomedy, despite being a farmer whose PvP skill leaves much to be desired, is the first to challenge Flame’s beliefs, proving that there is more to care about on the server than just another win. As their friendship blossoms, Flame begins to become less of a lone-wolf, and often steps up to Lomedy’s defense as soon as they get into trouble, even if they had been clashing over ideals beforehand.
